An overview of Gray Fund Withdrawals (Updated September 2024)

Who can request a Withdrawal? Participating Members of the Gray Digital, Gray Fund are able to request withdrawals from during the designated withdrawal period each quarter.

The designated withdrawal period is from 12:00am EST on the 24th of the last month in a given quarter until the last day of the month at 11:59pm EST.

Note: The withdrawal window is open from the 24th until the end of the quarter. The number of days will fluctuate based on the quarter. Reference the Gray Digital website, Twitter, Telegram and the Gray Digital Discord for more detailed information and alerts. The Gray Digital will update the community when all withdrawals are completed.

During these withdrawal periods, Participating Members can request a withdrawal from their Principal Balance and their Rewards Balance. Withdrawals are processed and settled during the first two weeks of the next quarter.

For example: 4th Quarter withdrawal request period will open on December 24th at 12:00am EST and remain open until December 31 at 11:59pm EST. Withdrawals would be processed from January 1st to January 15th.

What funds are eligible?

  • Rewards Balance: Participating Members whose membership is up-to-date, who have a principal balance and a reward balance may request a rewards withdrawal. A 15% fee is applied to all rewards withdrawals. The withdrawal amount must be less or equal to the available balance, including applicable fees.

  • Principal Balance: Participating Members whose membership is up-to-date, and who have a principal balance can withdrawal from their principal balance with no fee. The withdrawal amount must be less or equal to the available balance, including applicable fees.

  • Participating Member's Total Account Balance: A Participating Members "Total Account Balance" is a combination of their Gray Fund Principal Balance and the Gray Fund Rewards Balance. Please reference the Gray Fund Balances section for more information.

All withdrawal requests will be deducted from the Rewards Balance first. A Participating Member can NOT withdraw funds from their Principal Balance instead of their Rewards Balance. Withdrawal requests that exceed the Rewards Balance will remove funds from the Principal Balance as well.

Where are withdrawal requests made? Withdrawal requests will be requested and processed within the decentralized application (dApp) https://graydigital.com/dapp/fund. This requires the connection of a verified wallet address. Once your wallet is connected, you will scroll down to "Withdraw" on the dApp (reference image below).

What currency will I receive upon withdrawal? Upon a withdrawal, the reward balance is converted into a single, common cryptocurrency stablecoin and distributed to Participating Members. Currently, rewards are available to be claimed in USDT and USDC on nine (9) networks: Ethereum (ETH), Binance Chain (BNB), Polygon(MATIC), Avalanche (AVAX), Optimism (OP), Arbitrum (ARB), Base, Solana (SOL) and Tron (TRX).

What are the withdrawal fees? A 15% withdrawal fee is applied to all processed withdrawals. This fee is applied to each processed withdrawal individually. The 15% withdrawal fee only applies to claimed rewards, and not claimed principal balance. Principal balance funds are NOT subject to the 15% withdrawal fee.

Note: Commonly asked question - Is the fee added or removed from the withdrawal amount? The 15% fee will be deducted from the requested amount, not added to the requested amount. See below for more details.

How are the fees calculated? A 15% fee is applied to the requested withdrawal amount. For example: If a Participating Member requests $1,000.00 from their reward balance.

Please review all transactions before submission to minimize errors. Once a transaction has been completed, it will not be reverted or amended.

When are withdrawal requests fulfilled?

Withdrawals are processed and settled during the first two weeks of the next quarter.

What are the withdrawal limits?

Withdrawal amounts are limited according to the Gray Fund Balance of the Participating Member. Each Participating Member's account can only withdraw a maximum of 25% of their balance per quarter on balances above $25,000.00. The Gray Digital Dashboard will allow the option for a full 25% withdrawal that allows the 15% withdrawal fee to go beyond the 25% withdrawal cap. This way, Participating Members may withdraw up to the full 25% balance amount regardless of the 15% withdrawal fee.

For example: A Participating Member has a balance of $120,000.00 at the time of the withdrawal period and requests a withdrawal of 25% of their balance, or $30,000. The Participating Member can choose to include the 15% withdrawal fee in the $30,000, or add it to the transaction.

  • If the member chooses to include the 15% withdrawal fee, the member would pay a fee of $4,500 and receive $25,500.00.

  • If the member chooses to add the fee to the transaction, the member would receive $30,000.00 and pay a fee of $4,500 for a total withdrawal transaction of $34,500.00.

Any Large Withdrawal request over $75,000.00 (calculated before withdrawal fees) requires a Withdrawal Notification Support Ticket at least 30 days prior to the start of each regular request window.

“Large Withdrawals” Definition:

Large withdrawals are defined as withdrawals over $75,000.00. Large withdrawals will experience slightly longer settlement times due to unwinding investment positions, market dynamics, and 3rd party restrictions. Typically, these withdrawals are processed and settled during the first two weeks of the next quarter. All substantial withdrawals will be processed and handled on a case by case basis.

Large Withdrawal Notification requirement:

If a Participating Member plans to withdraw a large amount, a withdrawal notification is required. Participating Members planning a withdrawal of $75,000.00 or more, are required to open a Withdrawal Notification Support Ticket in the Gray Digital Discord approximately 30 days prior to the withdrawal request. This notification must be submitted during the Large Withdrawal Notification Window. This window is open for one (1) month during the given quarter. The window will be open from the 24th of the month to the 24th of the following month in the middle of the quarter.

For Example: 4th Quarter Large Withdrawal Notification request period will open on October 24th and stay open until November 24th. This period allows for a minimum 30 day nonfiction of a large withdrawal prior to the quarterly withdrawal period that takes place on December 24th. Participating Members must also request their withdrawal during the designated withdrawal period from 12:00am EST on the 24th of the last month in a given quarter until the last day of the month at 11:59pm EST on the Gray Digital dApp https://graydigital.com/dapp/fund. Withdrawal requests that are received outside of the withdrawal window could be subject to longer distribution times, and/or may not be processed until the following quarters withdrawal window. Failure to provide notification of a large withdrawal could be subject to longer distribution times, and/or may not be processed until the following quarters withdrawal window.

  • Large Withdrawal Notifications are required for withdrawals of $75,000.00 or more

  • Notifications must be submitted during the Large Withdrawal Notification Window

  • Withdrawal Notifications received after the window and failure to provide Large Withdrawal Notification could result in longer distribution times, and/or may not be processed until the following month’s withdrawal window.
